This work pays tribute to Georges Bataille’s novel Story of the Eye. I removed all the penises from the hentai manga I used, not to perform castration, but to shift the lens to focus on female erotic experiences towards jouissance. The process of paper mache also embodies my belief that the human experience is fragmented and discontinuous.
